PLC Training Courses We currently undertake training courses for Siemens, Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi PLC's. The courses are usually tailored to the needs of individual clients and the complexity varies according to the specific requirements.

Maintenance and Trouble-Shooting   A course that teaches maintenance personnel to rectify faults with existing systems. This includes monitoring the internal PLC memory locations as well as the inputs and outputs. It is designed for personnel who do not access PLCs on a regular basis but are called upon to do so when a breakdown occurs

Basic Course   Introduces the concept of PLCs, how they are programmed and simple programming.   Topics covered:

	Bits
	Bytes
	Words
	PLC inputs
	Outputs
	Timers
	Counters
	Internal memory
	Elementary programming and monitoring

Intermediate Course   Carries on from basic course and allows more complex programming to be undertaken.

Advanced Course   Specific topics such as communication modules that use RS232, Ethernet or Profibus.

The courses are usually based around the end clients site software so that specific cases can be discussed. Course manuals are supplied to each course attendee.

The courses are run at either the clients premises, a convenient location specified by the client such as a hotel or conference centre, or Weirgrove Automation's premises.
